На конференции TechEd редмондский гигант заявил, что Microsoft Office для iPad, в состав в который входят Word, PowerPoint и Excel, разошелся тиражом в уже более 27 миллионов. Данные были впервые опубликованы в твитере Пола Туро.

Немалая цифра в 27 миллионов — это постоянно растущее число скачек приложения, которое уже более чем в два раза превысило 12-миллионную отметку загрузок на первой неделе. Конечно же, все эти цифры всего лишь бесплатные скачивания приложений. Microsoft не будет делиться данными о том, как мало много из них имеют подписку на iPad Office.

C момента запуска в конце марта этого года Микрософт не покладает рук над новым функционалом своего офисного решения для iPad. Так, например, в конце прошлого года была добавлена поддержка AirPrint и некоторые улучшения Excel. Глава Apple Тим Кук поприветствовал дебют Office в App Store и на iPad. Еще бы, 30% от каждой недешевой подписки Office 365 будут капать купертиновской компании.

Microsoft выпустила Excel, Word и PowerPoint для iPad

Как и было обещано, Microsoft наконец-таки выпустил свои самые популярные офисные приложения для iPad. Теперь на купертиновском планшете вы сможете бесплатно просматривать документы Excel, PoiwerPoint и Word. Для редактирования и создания своих собственных шедевров вам понадобится подписка Office 365.

Все три приложения можно загрузить абсолютно бесплатно, в этом случае пользователям будет доступен лишь просмотр документов. Чтобы творить с Office на iPad вам понадобиться подписка Office 365. Приобрести ее вы сможете в самом приложении: здесь есть специальная покупка Office 365 для дома за 2 490 р. Интересен тот факт, что 30% от этой стоимости перейдет купертиновской компании, как и за все покупки внутри приложений App Store. Подписка позволит вам пользоваться программами на нескольких PC/Mac и мобильных устройств.

Начиная с этого четверга, подписчики Office 365 могут без труда добавить свой iPad в список выбранных устройств для специальных возможностей. На нем они смогут создавать и редактировать документы Word, PowerPoint и Excel. Эти приложения доступны для бесплатной загрузки, чтобы позволить всем желающим просматривать и демонстрировать документы, таблицы и презентации.

Напомним, что в Microsoft еще в далеком феврале 2010 года уже рассматривали возможность внедрения функционала Office на iPad. Долгое время этому направлению не уделялось должного внимания, компания боялась усилить позиции iPad по отношению к собственным решениям: Windows-планшеты итак слишком часто оставались в тени великого и могучего iPad.

Теперь же компанией управляет Nadella, быть может из-за этого Microsoft решалась-таки презентовать Office для iPad, хотя согласно множеству мнений в Сети, приложения эти безнадежно опоздали: владельцы iPad уже вовсю пользуется бесплатным iWork.

Для работы приложений вам потребуется iPad с версией iOS 7.0 и выше. Загрузить их вы сможете как обычно в App Store: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
