Ежегодный список «самых восхитительных» компаний был опубликован в этот четверг журналом Fortune. В пятерку также вошли Berkshire Hathaway (четвертое место) и Starbucks (пятая строчка). Coca-Cola опустилась в рейтинге с 4 на 6 место, следом идет Walt Disney.

Завершают первую десятку FedEx, Southwest Airlines и General Electric. В рейтинге также были замечены и другие крупные компании: Nike (13-ое место), Samsung Electronics (21), Microsoft (24), Facebook (38), eBay (44) и Intel (47).

Единственным американским оператором связи, упомянутым в списке, стал беспроводной провайдер AT&T, занявший последнюю, пятидесятую строчку. Его основной конкурент Verizon в список не попал вообще.

Ежегодный рейтинг «самых восхитительных» компаний избирается Fortune из 1400 организаций. Результаты основываются на опросе 3920 респондентов, многие из которых занимают должности исполнительных лиц, директоров и ведущих аналитиков.

Apple купила разработчика Test Flight

Итак уже немалый список приобретений Apple недавно пополнился новой компанией. На этот раз ее жертвой стал Burstly — разработчик популярной тестовой платформы для iOS TestFlight .

Впервые о сделке сообщил TechCrunch. Некоторое время спустя купертиновская корпорация подтвердила факт слияния.“Apple время от времени покупает небольшие технологические компании, и обычно мы не обсуждаем наши цели или планы,» — заявил официальный представитель Apple. Детали сделки как обычно простым смертным не сообщаются.

Компания Burstly широко известна в Кремниемой долине во многом благодаря своей платформе управления мобильными приложениями. Она предлагает своим пользователям такие инструменты мобильной аналитики, как FlightPath, а с 2012 года, после приобретения TestFlight, начала предоставлять тестовую среду для мобильных разработчиков.

TestFlight стала довольно популярной в сообществе разработчиков за огромное число предоставляемых функций, которые позволяют им выпускать ранние версии своих приложений для небольшого круга лиц в целях тестирования без необходимости загрузки в App Store.

Помимо всевозможных метрик общей аудитории, TestFlight предоставляет разработчикам узнать, как работают покупки внутри приложений и реклама. Здесь также можно посмотреть, какая версия iOS используется и по каким причинам их приложение может выводить ошибки.

Конечно же стоит отметить тот факт, что после данного поглощения, 21 марта TestFlight планирует завершить поддержку тестирования приложений на ОС Android. Что, впрочем, неудивительно: это же Apple. Хотя немного жаль Android-разработчиков, которые уже успели привыкнуть к столь удобному сервису.

Пока остается неясным, что Apple будет делать с Burstly и, соответственно, TestFlight. Однако в Кремниемой долине уже давно прослеживается неплохая тенденция увеличивать число собственных сервисом за счет приобретения небольших компаний. Так, например, в начале прошлого года, Twitter приобрел сервис аналитики и тестирования мобильных приложений Crashlytics, а Facebook поглотил популярный стартап Parse.

Facebook приобрел WhatsApp за 19 млрд $

Цукерберг решил не ограничиваться Instagram и решил произвести крупнейшее в истории социальной сети приобретение. Компания поглотила популярный сервис обмена сообщениями WhatsUp. Сумма сделки достигла 19 млрд. долларов: из них четыре были отданы наличными, 12 — своими акциями и еще 3 пришлось выплатить за акции с ограниченным обращением. Основатель WhatsApp Джэн Коумбыл включен в список директоров Facebook.

Напомним, что WhatsApp — это один из самых популярных кроссплатформенных мессенжеров, который позволяет людям со всего мира переписываться со своими знакомыми и близкими, пересылать им файлы и изображения.

В декабре прошлого года руководство похвасталось тем, что число активных пользователей превысило отметку 400 млн, причем 100 млн присоединились к WhatsUp за последние 4 месяца. В апреле 2013 года ходили слухи, что Google собирается купить мессенжер за 1 млрд. долларов. WhatsUp эти слухи опроверг и вот спустя почти год поглощение все же состоялось. Только вот покупатель оказался другим, да и цена во много превзошла ожидаемую.

WhatsApp присоединится к существующим у нас чатам и сервисам обмена сообщений чтобы обеспечить новые возможности нашему сообществу. Facebook Messenger широко используется для переписки с друзьями в Facebook, а WhatsApp для общения со всеми вашими контактами и небольшими группами людей сразу.  Так как WhatsApp и Facebook Messenger служат разным, но в то же время очень важным целям, мы продолжим инвестировать средства в оба эти проекта и сделаем их прекрасными сервисами для всех.
